Get paid $2,000 to drink beer

We have a winner!

Congratulations to Joseph Bell—the winner of our 2021 Beer Baron Dream Job! Joseph loves trying different beers at local breweries whenever he finds himself in a new place.

We will be sending Joseph to Pittsburgh for Oktoberfest this year and paying for his tab as he samples the city’s craft brews and drafts. Also, should Joseph decide he loves Pittsburgh’s beer culture so much he wants to live there, we’ll help him pay for his move!

Sample a new city while sipping suds!

Can you be counted among the craft beer connoisseurs in your community? Are you a local legend at the late-night lounges?

If you’re down to drink at a distance from your local dive bar on someone else’s dime, then we’ve brewed up a unique opportunity for you!

In our efforts to help everyone find a happy home, Move.org wants to hire a Chief Beer Baron and pay them $2,000 to travel to their favorite taproom-filled town to celebrate Oktoberfest.

After responsibly enjoying drinks on us in one of America’s beer capitals, we’ll ask you for a review of your sampled city to see if it hits all the high notes or if it falls flat.

And if the vibe feels right and you want to move to your new hangout haven, we’ll give you an additional $500 to help with moving expenses!

Who should apply?

You have a chance at being chosen as the Chief Beer Baron if you meet these criteria:

  • You’re a beer enthusiast who loves to debate which bubbles and suds sit best on your taste buds.
  • You want to compare your local craft community scene to America’s best brewing cities.
  • You crave a change of pace in a new sipping space (don’t worry—you won’t have to move if you can’t feel the groove).
  • You must be of legal drinking age (21 years or older) and eligible to work within the United States.

What will you do?

  • Choose one city from our Best Cities for Lovers report.
  • Enjoy your opportunity to celebrate Oktoberfest. (Drink responsibly!)
  • After you visit the beer capital of your choice, you’ll fill out a questionnaire to review the city’s beer scene based on the beverages, food, and culture fit.
  • If the city’s worth the hype, we’ll give you a $500 moving grant to help you relocate your life.
