What is renting and living in Sugar House area like?

    • Sarah Isaacson

I rent and live in Sugarhouse and LOVE it. The rent is higher than other neighborhoods, but I find the proximity to my needs worth it. Plenty of parks, grocery stores, and nature. The culture is made up of creatives as well. It is currently being gentrified with young professionals so that may answer why pricing has gone up. Check out my response to your other post as well! If you wish to experience the heart of Sugarhouse, come check out our Sprague library and walk the 2100 south 1100 east area. There are many restaurants, cute narrow streets, and a lively culture. I compare it to Silverlake, Los Angeles and Brooklyn New York for the artsy feel among the 100-year old Victorian homes and solid brick bungalows.
